Victorian Christmas at Addie’s

This year was our second annual Victorian Christmas event!

The halls were decked in traditional garlands, the tree was strung with popcorn and cranberries, and the Hunter family of bygone years welcomed the community into their Victorian home. Visitors met Addie Hunter, the local girl who went on to become one of Canada’s most influential women, her inspirational mother Jane, and the rest of the family as they celebrated the holiday season.

Visitors enjoyed exploring the Homestead with the whole family, playing with Victorian toys, listening to live holiday music from the past and present, experiencing some seasonal treats, and creating a period Christmas craft to take home.
